Front end Software Development Engineering Engineer 3

Description

Employees in this job function develop and maintain the front-end/client-side of an application, typically a web application but sometimes also a mobile application or mobile-friendly responsive application. They are responsible for the design and implementation of the user interface and user experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to deeply understand their use cases, pain points, and requirements, showcasing empathy and advocating for user-centric software solutions
• Solve complex problems by designing, developing, and delivering using various tools, languages, frameworks, and technologies
• Align with architecture guidelines for a unified and coherent approach to development
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as product owners, designers, back-end developers, and architects
• Create mock-ups and prototypes to visualize new features and participate in user interface design reviews and product demos
• Perform functional, automated, and UI testing to ensure quality development
• Work on continuously improving performance by fixing bugs and optimizing the application, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
• Apply programming practices such as cross-browser compatibility testing, SEO principles, and accessibility standards
• Design, develop, and deliver user-friendly, interactive experiences using enterprise brand standards and templates for consistent user experience, using languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or advanced frameworks like React and Angular
• Keep up to date with the latest emerging technologies and trends in user interface design

You will collaborate with other Software Engineers, Designers, and Product Managers to deliver critical new features and capabilities for connected device applications and APIs. This front-end team collaborates heavily with related backend teams to support user needs and backend application interfaces. You will be responsible for the design, development, and ongoing support/maintenance of the applications and services.

Experience Required

• 6 years in IT
• 4 years in development
• Practical experience in 2 coding languages or advanced practical experience in 1 language

Experience Preferred

• 3 years using React
• 1 year using Spring
• 1 year using CI/CD and Github
• GraphQL, Figma, GCP
